Details

  • Introduction

The Hong Kong Sevens is the world’s biggest rugby sevens festival, and one of our all-time favourites.

This legendary event brings together the thrill of sport and the vibrancy of a global celebration, making it an unforgettable experience for both rugby fans and those just looking for an incredible time.

The action takes place at the new main stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park, where fans will enjoy a world-class viewing experience. The stadium boasts the second-longest bar in Asia, ventilated seats for maximum comfort, and unparalleled views of the Victoria Harbour skyline from the South Stand. Enhanced food, beverage, and spectator facilities will add to the excitement. Be part of the inaugural Hong Kong Sevens at Kai Tak Sports Park.

Rugby sevens is fast, fun, and thrilling. With matches consisting of two 7-minute halves, the pace is relentless, making it one of the most exciting formats of the game. Each team has only seven players, meaning quick turnovers, huge tackles, and dazzling breakaway tries are the norm. You’ll witness multiple games throughout the day, keeping the energy high and the excitement nonstop.

A highlight of the Hong Kong Sevens is the South Stand, famous for its wild, party-like atmosphere. This section of the stadium has earned a legendary reputation, where fans come early, donning elaborate costumes, to enjoy a day of festivities. The singing, dancing, and lively entertainment in the South Stand are just as much a part of the experience as the rugby itself. Music pumps through the stadium between matches, and the entertainment lineup never disappoints. Over the years, world-class acts like Madness, The Village People, Gwen Stefani, and The Beach Boys have taken to the stage, adding even more excitement to the already vibrant atmosphere.

Our official packages are now available, offering a selection of official tickets (General Admission, Corporate Boxes, and Hospitality Packages) paired with hand-picked 4-star and 5-star hotels on Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, complete with daily breakfast. Enjoy experiencing three days of rugby action with live music entertainment, Opening Ceremony and more. Explore Hong Kong with a Peak Tram experience to get a panoramic view of the famous skyline and Victoria Harbour. Enhance your trip further with extra nights, flights, airport transfers, sightseeing tours, travel insurance, or extend your journey to Macao, following in the footsteps of James Bond, just a quick ferry ride away.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a longer adventure, our expert team is here to ensure your Hong Kong Sevens experience is unforgettable.

    Hong Kong

Hong Kong, known as Asia’s World City, is a cultural melting pot where East meets West. Its rich colonial history is beautifully preserved in the city’s architecture, art galleries, and museums, offering a unique blend of old and new. As one of the world’s major finance and business hubs, Hong Kong is also emerging as Asia’s premier shopping and culinary destination. From high-end malls to vibrant street markets, and from Michelin-starred restaurants to hidden local gems, the city’s food scene is unparalleled.

We love Hong Kong for its unmatched entertainment, especially during the Hong Kong Sevens, when the city’s energy soars. On Hong Kong Island, the pubs, clubs, and restaurants come alive with fans and locals celebrating the festivities, creating a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. Visitors will be welcomed with open arms as the city embraces travellers from across the globe.

For sightseeing, Hong Kong offers an extraordinary variety of experiences. The dramatic skyline is a juxtaposition of towering skyscrapers and lush greenery—over 70% of Hong Kong’s territory is covered in jungle and nature reserves. Victoria Harbour, one of the world’s most stunning urban landscapes, separates Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, offering breathtaking views, particularly from the Peak Tram.

Beyond the city lights, Hong Kong is full of hidden gems: scenic hikes through dense forests, pristine beaches, bustling markets, and an incredible street food culture. Don’t miss the chance to dine at Tim Ho Wan in North Point, the world’s most affordable Michelin-starred restaurant, offering exquisite dim sum at a fraction of typical prices.

    Climate

In March and April, Hong Kong experiences a mild and pleasant climate, making it a great time to visit. The average temperatures range from around 17°C (63°F) in March to 24°C (75°F) in April. Humidity starts to increase in April, but it’s not yet at the peak levels of summer.

Spring in Hong Kong is characterised by comfortable temperatures and fresh breezes, making it ideal for sightseeing, outdoor activities, and attending events like the Hong Kong Sevens. Lightweight clothing is usually sufficient, but it’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings or air-conditioned indoor spaces.
